Wow! We kicked off this 2umbao 2sday with a birthday sit down dinner for my pal Georgie Lombardo. Plenty of folks already at the bar before 8pm and people were generally raring to go. Though a little difficult for this week's class on the "Rooster & Hen" routine we had lots of fun especially when we started out with only two ladies and six guys. Eventually, the class swelled to over 15 people and eventually the genders evened out. By the time class was over there were nearly 90 people in the house and the dance floor quickly began to fill! Over 130 people came to this fourth 2umbao 2sday and many looked on during L.A.'s customary birthday dance for Georgie. Nearly two dozen people danced with Georgie to show her how much we like Miss "Fish & Chips" (reportedly she was born over a fish and chips joint in England). I'm very pleased that 2umbao 2sdays seems to be the place to be on the West Side. I saw many faces that had not been before and am excited that they enjoyed themselves (hi, Leslie; hi Larissa, hi, Karen!). What's really great is that I know that I will exceed my personal goal of 150 in attendance soon because there are still many that have not had the opportunity to participate. So, I want to thank all of you that came to support, hang out, dance and celebrate Georgie's birthday! Now a look at some pictures below of the past 2umbao 2sday.
